ISIS Advances In Iraq Echoed In Bahrain

Top Bahrain government officials took to Twitter to show what is being perceived as support for the advances of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), a splinter group of the terror organisation Al Qaeda, in Iraq.

On June 11, Bahrain government spokeswoman and Minister of Information Sameera Rajab tweeted [ar]:

International Political Forum

Some interpreted this statement as being sympathetic with the extremist Sunni ISIS in its “revolution” against the Shiite-dominated Iraqi government. Following its swift takeover of Mosul, Iraq’s second largest city, on June 10, the ISIS has since seized a number of smaller cities and towns and it’s troops are marching towards the capital Baghdad.

In another tweet, on the same day, Mrs Rajab said [ar]:

International Political Forum

Meanwhile, chairman of the Foreign Affairs, Defense and National Security Committee at the Shura (Consultative) Council, which is appointed by the King, Dr Shaikh Khalid Al Khalifa doubted that the ISIS was in Iraq to begin with. He tweeted [ar]:

International Political Forum

In another tweet, he pointed the finger at regional and international players with a master-plan to destroy the Arab World and tear it apart, saying [ar]:

International Political Forum

And in another tweet, Dr Al Khalifa noted:

International Politica Forum

However, the only official reaction issued by the country on Iraq concerns the pulling out of diplomats from there “due to the unfolding security situation.”

  1. Reality Check

I understand that both Sunni and Shia honor and sensibilities are at stake here but in this latest round of IDIOCY in Iraq the only one’s that are the true losers in this conflict is the Honest, Honorable and Moderate Iraqi’s themselves.

Let’s face it…at any moment if this conflict has determined to have gone TOO FAR….the United States Military will come in and crush all warring sides as if they were bugs.

The ONLY reason this has not happened so far is because the U.S. has no intention of backing the Shiite/Iranian leaning Iraqi Leader who REFUSES to include Sunni’s into the Government and Political process.

The United States certainly is NOT going to allow the ISIS to gain control of this entire region but the U.S. will wait to see just how desperate the Iraqi Leadership becomes.

The United States is capable of Great Good in the World.

The United States is also capable of rendering the population of any region of the world to zero…should that be necessary.

All sides and all groups should remember this because if this conflict get’s out of hand….the U.S. will come in once again and this time it will not do so in such a friendly manner as the last times.
