The animated MAN is darkly comic, depicting the destructive nature of man, who exploits the planet and its species for his own selfish purposes.
The video animation provides us with disturbing view of our species – a species that wreaks havoc on other species, and on nature itself. MAN is a parable of a man in conflict with the world at large, offering a biting commentary on this homosapien’s destructive and violent pathos. In the end, MAN, sitting on his throne, is dealt a karmic blow.
The video shows the lack of harmony that 21st century humans have with their surroundings. We are seen trying to have a power over the environment, rather than having a symbiotic relationship with it. The animation ends the Man being destroyed by beings from another planet who land on earth, squish him into a welcome mat, then shuffle off in their spaceship.
At the very least, MAN will get many people thinking about how arrogant we are as a species.
