Equal political rights, equal social rights and equal economic rights:
The University of New England‘s infographic for their Masters Degree in Social Work reveals some alarming figures in American society. We should all have the right to protect ourselves against abuse and physical violence and we should all have access to the means to fight for our own social justice. But as these figures show, child abuse, homelessness, poverty levels, unemployment rates and inadequate access to health care are far to high.
I have a dream
This week we commemorated 50 years since Martin Luther King’s famous words made their mark on history, he dreamed of an equal America for black and whites, a fight for social justice. But we should continue this fight for all forms of social justice. A developed county in the 21st century should not be boasting these figures – surly everybody should be fighting against injustice’s and social equality should prevail.
