The loudest shout is that which burgeons at the guts and runs along the body looking for an exit just like the fire does. That is how hundreds of Mexicans raise their voice, their hands, and their spirits overwhelmed by the visit of President Enrique Peña Nieto.
Last Tuesday, 3th March 2015, the President of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto, visited London as part of his agenda in the United Kingdom. This year, Mexico and the UK are celebrating their bilateral relations and several events are taking place all over the kingdom.
Hundreds of Mexicans, mostly students, protested in front of the residence of Prime Minister David Cameron at 10 Downing Street. They not only showed indignation to the visit of the President, but also the UK Government’s reception to Nieto.
Nowadays, Mexico is in the middle of a turmoil given the last occurrences in Ayotzinapa, as well as a series of human rights violations within the country. Such phenomena added to the economic, security-based, and institutional crises of the Government led by the President Enrique Peña Nieto have caused a social disenchantment and multiple manifestations against the current administration.
The main objective of President Peña Nieto’s visit this week is the signature of a series of treaties related to the Energy Agenda, especially regarding to the oil.
