The children of Gaza have been plagued with wartime memories that have haunted them since 2008. Psychological trauma has led to other severe health issues which now act as a serious burden for them. Malnutrition, anaemia and poor dental care are some of the cases Gaza’s health clinics see in children everyday. Without much medical help available in the area, it remains difficult for Gaza’s children to receive appropriate treatment to help them move on with their lives.
Over the years, Muslim Hands have been working with the Al-Durrah Paediatric Hospital to raise support and funds that enable the children of Gaza to receive the medical care they require. Although great work as been done already with the help of Muslim Hands’ supporters, there is still much more to be done to ensure that these children are receiving the best medical care possible. The rehabilitation of the radiology department, maintenance of the in-patient ward and development of various health facilities are some of the things Muslim Hands are determined to tick off their list next. And now, you can help!
Last year, London and Manchester walkers raised the incredible amount of £117,000 to help Gaza’s children, however, this year hopes to see a much larger show of support as Birmingham and Leicester join in. Back for the 6th time, the annual 5 mile walk has seen thousands of people from all over the country come together in a tremendous display of support for the children of Gaza. Many talk the talk when it comes to helping those who need our support, but next month people in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Leicester will be bundling up and walking the walk to save the lives of Gaza’s children.
Don’t miss out on a unique opportunity to directly touch the lives of the children of Gaza. Find out more about the event and register now!
