This poem was written in memory of the victims who died during the Peshawar school attack that took place on 16 December in Pakistan.
We lost a Future Architect, a Future Doctor, a Future Nurse,
We lost hundreds of bright lights,
Who before walking their path, were made to disperse.
We lost a Future Sports Person, a Future Prime Minister,
A millions lights were fused with the loss of our Brother and Sister.
We lost a Future Writer, we lost hundreds of God’s gifts,
A million more lights were fused
The smallest coffins are the heaviest to lift.
We lost a Future Me, we lost a Future You,
This pain will stay forever but the cause to it needs to be taboo.
We need to re-build that future for the Architect that was taken away,
Find the antiseptic for the Doctor whose absence is the reason for this dismay,
We need to be the shoulders for that Sister and Brother,
A backbone for all, one united pack,
We lost Our Future,
And we Need To Get It Back.

Wonderful. Thanks for your compassion and solidarity.
