We’re Looking for an Intern!

The International Political Forum is a platform for young people around the world to make their voices heard. We are rapidly gaining international recognition as the go-to place for politically engaged, globally minded young people.

The IPF provides a space for young people to voice their opinion and analysis on relevant topics and issues that are taking place globally. We are driven by the belief that young people, despite being at the forefront of political, social and economic changes taking place around the world, are often unheard in the mainstream media. Subsequently, IPF is driving forward to fill this prevalent gap. We want to tell the stories that are too often sidelined and disrupt the traditional media cycle.

We are members of The Guardian Africa Network and winners of the Virgin Media trip to India to meet Richard Branson. Select features from our website are published on the Huffington Post.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of fast growing international youth movement, and will put you at the forefront of our development as we work on a number of new projects to dramatically expand our reach.

We are looking for a dedicated and creative intern to work directly with our director to help develop our editorial content, social media presence and partnerships, as well as to be closely involved in our exciting upcoming projects.

  • Interest in international affairs
  • Experience of writing and editing copy
  • Experience with blog publishing and social media (especially Twitter)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent writing, editorial, proof-reading and research skills
  • Passionate about developing a global online platform, and works well as part of a small team

The role will be for at least 2 months (we can be flexible around university!), with at least 1 day per week required in our office in North West London with flexible remote working during the rest of the week. Please do not apply if you are not based in London.

We will interview from the week of 2nd September, with an aim to start as soon as possible. We may appoint before the end date.

How to apply:

Please email a cover letter detailing your experience and suitability for this position, along with a CV and writing sample that you would consider appropriate for publication on the site to natasha@internationalpoliticalforum.com
